Amanda's NEW album, Sweet Dreams, has a much different feel than her first. She likes the mood of this album, it is a lot of fun, romantic, upbeat and relaxed music. Besides here wonderful upbeat jazz, Caribbean and romantic lyrics, there are a few songs where she experiments with hard rock, techno, and more.

Amanda has her own unique musical and lyrical composition style. She draws on a vast library of the poetry of her past. She has always kept poetic journals of life's challenges. Her first album, Don't Lay Your Trip On Me, has many lyrics about everyday problems, but the kind that most people don't sing about. Even though she sings about life's challenges, all her lyrics are written with humor. She likes to laugh at problems and situations. So, if you want to lighten up, and don't want to take life too seriously, order a CD and support a local independent artist. Visit her album page to here samples of a few of the songs on the album.
A Little History...
Amanda has her own unique style of music. There is something for everyone on her albums. If I were to try to describe it (a very tough thing) here is what I come up with: If you like Norah Jones, you will probably like Amanda. She is a vocalist, composer and multi-instrumentalist who composes Henry Mancini Pink Panther type jazz, a touch of Native American Indian influence here and there, plus a portion of John Lennon's older blues sounds, wild flute solos, a touch of Latin Jazz, and experimental ways of playing flute and other instruments.
Although Amanda performs her own music, she can do other cover music by request. Cover music includes but is not limited to: The Eagles, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Henry Mancini, Jimmy Buffet, Billy Joel, Pretenders, Elton John, Moody Blues, Beatles much more, featuring, but not limited to music of the 70's and 80's. and beyond.
Amanda's expertise and extensive knowledge in computers has yielded a new musical potential that was not available years ago: Computerized Midi Musical Composition. Her newest endeavor, is creating her own blues, jazz, classical, rock and roll, and original orchestral arrangements, to act as a backdrop to her live flute, saxophone, keyboard, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar playing. She performs with a full band whose pre-recorded players include Amanda on the drums, Amanda on the bass guitar, Amanda on the keyboards, and Amanda on lead guitar etc. She produces a big, full professional background band sound, while playing and singing the lead, live. She uses a Roland Synthesizer to create authentic accompaniment sounds.
Maybe it comes from being a multi-faceted Gemini, but Amanda has a variety of musical styles, instruments and interests: Classical, Rock and Roll (mostly pre-1988), Jazz, Blues, Latin, Caribbean and others. She plays traditional Boehm open-hole flute, Native American Flute, Civil War Fife, antique piccolo, acoustic 6 string guitar, acoustic 12 string guitar, electric guitar, C Tenor Saxophone, Eb Alto Saxophone, keyboards among other things.
When she does live performance, she uses many different instruments, including her voice.
